Jakarta, June 17, 2024 – In commemoration of Eid al-Adha, PLN Nusantara Renewables (PLN NR) and its four subsidiaries—PT NSHE, PT SGPJB, PT SSPewali, and PT PMSE—expressed profound gratitude to the communities around their projects through the distribution of sacrificial animals.

This Islamic festival teaches humanity about obedience, faith, and compassion in facing life's trials. As Muslims celebrate by sacrificing animals, they not only perform religious rituals but also demonstrate care for fellow humans.

The distribution of sacrificial animals is a form of Social and Environmental Responsibility practiced annually by PLN NR Group. During Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijriah, PLN NR Group donated 26 cows and 20 sheep, equivalent to 5,200 sacrificial packages, to underprivileged communities around the Batang Toru Hydropower Plant (North Sumatra), Jawa 7 Coal-Fired Power Plant (Banten), MT Sumbagsel-1 Coal-Fired Power Plant (South Sumatra), and Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant (West Java).

Harjono, President Director of PLN Nusantara Renewables, acknowledges that the operational success of PLN NR Group projects is inseparable from the support and cooperation of all involved parties. "We believe that conducting business responsibly requires us to maintain relationships with stakeholders through a caring approach," he stated. Therefore, the company is committed to more frequent engagement with communities to foster harmonious relationships.
