Purwakarta, 6 June 2025 – This year’s Eid al-Adha once again became a meaningful moment for PLN Nusantara Renewables (PLN NR) and PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali Solar Energi (PMSE). As a gesture of gratitude for the smooth operation of the Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant (PLTS Terapung Cirata), the two companies distributed qurban animals to communities in the Purwakarta area. This annual tradition is not only an expression of social care, but also a reflection of the spirit to continue growing together with communities living near this strategic renewable energy project.

This activity is part of the companies’ environmental and social responsibility, as well as a tangible expression of compassion during the meaningful celebration of Eid al-Adha. A total of three cows and 25 sheep were handed over to communities in several villages located near the project area, particularly in Maniis District, Purwakarta.

“Every year, the distribution of qurban animals is an important occasion for us to get closer to the community. This is not only about sharing, but also about seeking blessings and continued smooth operations for the Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant project,” said Dimas Kaharudin, Operations Director of PT PMSE.

As the largest floating solar power plant in Indonesia, PLTS Cirata brings numerous innovations, from efficient use of water surfaces to the application of clean technologies that support the national energy transition. Yet beyond the numbers and technical achievements, there is one equally important factor: the support of local residents.

“Eid al-Adha reminds us to care for and strengthen one another,” said Harjono, President Director of PLN Nusantara Renewables. “Through this activity, we aim to continue building harmonious relationships with the community, because we believe that large-scale projects can only run smoothly when they grow together with the surrounding communities.”

This initiative is expected to go beyond the Eid al-Adha celebration, becoming part of PLN NR and PMSE’s long-term efforts to foster sustainability, both in energy and in social relations.
