Purwakarta, June 15, 2024 – In commemoration of Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijriah, PLN Nusantara Renewables (PLN NR) and PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali Solar Energy (PMSE) carried out a donation activity of sacrificial animals for the community in Purwakarta. This initiative is part of the company's Social and Environmental Responsibility and an expression of gratitude for the success of the Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant project.

"The delivery of sacrificial animals is a routine agenda carried out by PMSE and PLN NR to share blessings with the community, while also praying for the smooth operation and blessings for the sustainability of the Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant," said Dimas Kaharudin, Director of Operations at PT PMSE.

During this activity, both companies distributed 1 cow and 22 goats to communities in various villages across 3 districts: Maniis District, Purwakarta Regency, covering villages such as Citamiang, Cijati, Sinargalih, and Tegaldatar; Cipeundeuy District, West Bandung Regency, covering villages like Ciroyom, Sirnagalih, Margalaksana, and Ciharashas; and TegalWaru District, Purwakarta Regency, covering villages like Karoya. Additionally, sacrificial meat was also distributed to several communities such as LMDH Cantayan, Fishermen Groups in Cioyom and Citamiang, and Islamic boarding schools and mosques.

The Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant is the largest floating solar power generation project in Indonesia managed by PT PMSE. Located in Cirata Reservoir, Purwakarta, this project utilizes innovative technology by installing solar panels on the water surface, thereby reducing land use and increasing energy efficiency.

The success of the Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant operation is inseparable from the participation of the Purwakarta community, especially those residing in the Maniis District. Therefore, the sacrificial animal donation activity serves as one of PLN NR and PMSE's ways to show appreciation and build harmonious relationships with the surrounding community.

Harjono, President Director of PLN Nusantara Renewables, stated, "Eid al-Adha teaches us about caring and solidarity. Through this activity, we aim to provide tangible positive impacts for the community." He also expressed hope that this activity and the company's social investments will further strengthen the bond between the company and the local community in the future.
