PLTS Terapung Cirata's Latest Achievements at the 2023 Enlit Asia Event

Enlit Asia 2023 stood as the premier exhibition and conference for the energy and electricity sector in ASEAN. All entities within the energy and electricity supply chain, spanning from power generation, digital transformation, energy transformation, transmission and distribution, renewables, energy storage, EV infrastructure, to consumers, actively participated in the event held from November 14th to 16th, 2023.

 

Simon Hoare, Portfolio Director of Energy for Clarion Events Asia, explained, “At Enlit Asia, we aim to drive greater collaboration across the industry by connecting and engaging all stakeholders in the energy sector in Asia. Starting from regulators, technology providers, to energy consumers, bringing an international perspective on one platform to take action towards a sustainable energy future in Asia."

 

On Tuesday, November 14th, a gala dinner was held alongside an awards ceremony for the "Power Energy Award," attended by representatives from ASEAN electricity and energy companies. The ceremony featured 12 categories of recognition. Among them, PLTS Terapung Cirata, a project managed by PT PMSE (Pembangkitan Jawa Bali Masdar Solar Energi), a Joint Venture Company (JVC) owned by PT PLN Nusantara Renewables and Masdar, received nominations in the Renewable Energy and Sustainability Project of The Year categories.

 

The project, inaugurated on November 9th, 2023, won the Renewable Energy and Sustainability of the Year category. This accolade is awarded to New Renewable Energy (EBT) and hydrogen energy projects that have achieved significant progress and successfully implemented reliable and sustainable energy solutions. This PLTS (Solar Power Plant) adopts smart grid technology, combining solar panel technology with artificial intelligence and an intelligent electricity grid, with the hope of managing solar energy more intelligently and efficiently.

 

In his speech, Ruly Firmansyah, The President Director of PT PLN Nusantara Power, expressed his gratitude for the collaboration of various parties in the construction of this power plant. “We feel proud to be the team chosen to develop green energy in Indonesia. In the future, we are committed to inheriting a greener earth for future generations," said Firmansyah.
